Cardinals Receive:
Felix Hernandez: SP SEA (13:$19M, 14:$22M, 15:$24M, 16:$25M, 17:$26M, 18:$26M, 19:$27M, 20:$1M conditional club option) Ernesto Frieri: RP LAA (13: 500K)
(25 Man Roster)
Mariners Receive:
Oscar Tavares: OF STL (100K) Kolten Wong: 2B STL (100K) Matt Adams: 1B STL (100K)
Cardinals Gain: 19.2M Mariners Cut: 19.2M
Giving Tavares is easily one of the toughest things I have done as a gm. If I were going to deal him, I had to get a true superstar. Felix is just that, and he solidify's this team and the championship run, I am trying to make. Wong and Adams are both very good position prospects, but Frieri will help a lot in the bullpen. This trade is a big one for my club, but I am confident I made the right choice.

mariners agree to this trade. This trade give us the best farm system without question in the business. We cut a contract that will allow us to sign 3-4 quality players next year. We also bring in the best prospect in baseball.
